If you haven’t seen it yet, you’ll be very excited to see the very talented and curvy diva Melissa McCarthy on the cover of the November issue of Elle magazine. McCarthy, is one of six covers for Elle’s “Women In Hollywood Issue” also featuring Penelope Cruz, Reese Witherspoon, Marion Cotillard, Shailene Woodley and Naomie Harris.

Melissa follows another Curvy Diva, Adele who was featured on the cover of Vogue in March of 2012. When Adele’s cover hit the stands, many thought she’d been airbrushed and photoshopped to look thinner. Like Adele, Melissa’s cover is sparking some controversy for the opposite, layers of clothing covering her frame in the shot.
As a designer and a celebrity stylist let’s get to the crust of the biscuit. In two years we’ve seen the curvy trend building and that’s worth celebrating!!! To see Melissa, a confident and beautiful curvy actress in a chic sophisticated editorial shot on the cover of one of the largest fashion publications transcends everything.
